Gib Lane Community Fund Awards Grants
Decisions on the first round of the Gib Lane Community Fund have been reached. The successful groups to receive a share of the £10,000 annual pot this year are:
- Hulcott Parish Council
- Buckland Parish Council
- Bierton Lawn Tennis Club
- Aston Clinton Parish Council
- Bierton with Broughton Parish Council.
Monies for the Community Fund are provided by Haymaker (Gib Lane Solar) Limited. The Fund will provide £10,000 each year for the next 25 years towards supporting good causes local to the solar farm.
Juanjo Alvarez from Haymaker said:
“We are very pleased that the Fund is able to support such worthy causes. We look forward to supporting and hearing about many more exciting projects to benefit the local area.”
Projects must be located in the Parishes or Bierton with Broughton, Hulcott, Aston Clinton and Buckland in Buckinghamshire. The fund is divided up according to how much of the development is located within each parish, as follows:
- Bierton with Broughton £3,800
- Hulcott £1,400
- Aston Clinton £2,900
- Buckland £1,900
Groups located in one of the four parishes can apply for grants of £250 up to the maximum amount available in their parish. So for example a community group in Hulcott could apply for a grant of between £250 and £1,400.
The Fund is being administered by national charity GrantScape. For further details about the Fund and how you can apply to the next round, please click below:
